﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><sura id="96">
  <aya id="1" text="Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists)," />
  <aya id="2" text="Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood)." />
  <aya id="3" text="Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous," />
  <aya id="4" text="Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch) &lt;&lt;code3&gt;&gt;&lt;&lt;codea&gt;&gt;]," />
  <aya id="5" text="Has taught man that which he knew not." />
  <aya id="6" text="Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.)." />
  <aya id="7" text="Because he considers himself self-sufficient." />
  <aya id="8" text="Surely! Unto your Lord is the return." />
  <aya id="9" text="Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abû Jahl) who prevents," />
  <aya id="10" text="A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays?" />
  <aya id="11" text="Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allâh)?" />
  <aya id="12" text="Or enjoins piety?" />
  <aya id="13" text="Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abû Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Qur'ân), and turns away?" />
  <aya id="14" text="Knows he not that Allâh does see (what he does)?" />
  <aya id="15" text="Nay! If he (Abû Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock," />
  <aya id="16" text="A lying, sinful forelock!" />
  <aya id="17" text="Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers)," />
  <aya id="18" text="We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)!" />
  <aya id="19" text="Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abû Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allâh!" />
